Well, I’m not sure about how much of this shoot I can speak about… I might get in trouble.

This was such a random experience because at the time, I needed to get work experience for my Professional Practice module. After going through everything possible to get work experience in the industry, no one was taking me on, even as a runner.

A couple days after I submitted my Professional Practice work, I got a phone call from Brickhouse asking if I was free for a shoot. I said yes, to which they told me they would pick me up in an hour. I had to pack a bag, as I was going from Manchester to London for 2 nights to work on a Sharp video to promote their printers. It was hectic to say the least.

Due to inconveniences with the shoot, I had to stay an extra night. I was a production assistant, which meant talking to the clients, setting up lights, setting up the green screen and getting involved with the shoot

I can’t remember much of the shoot to be honest, it was such a spontaneous experience that I threw myself at, it all seemed like a blur once I began to reflect on it. Being one of my first experience in the industry, it was great to be around a director and professional kit for the first time and to see how a production works. Jumping into the deep end as a Production Assistant, I felt that I was able to get very hands-on and help out as much as I could.
